The economical hardship intensifies the need for strong Congolese organization and visionary leadership that must empower our community members to become solution-oriented and play a key role in helping each other as well as advocating the Democratic Republic of Congo that faces an unprecedented humanitarian crisis and war.
Welcome!
Americans and Congolese residents must become more involved in advocating Congo. Leaders of all Congolese Communities and organizations in the United States have come together to discuss the way to strengthen the unity such as we can only speak one voice under one leadership at the national level. We have to come together no matter our disagreements or differences, and I still believe we can do it despite the cynicism and skepticism of some. Remember, “One finger cannot wash the entire face.” The last four months, we had couple of meetings with students’ organizations, pastors, ministries leaders and major Congolese regional associations in Raleigh in search of the best way to consolidate the unity and define the framework of our partnership. All groups were very receptive and encouraged the intensification of such meetings. We want particularly to congratulate Congolese Students organization at UNC Greensboro for holding a successful conference discussing subjects related to the renewal of mind of Congolese people for a better leadership in Congo. We thank you for choosing COCOM/Raleigh Chairman as one of the speakers. We set the goal of reaching at least $15,000 until March 2009; actually we have less than 25 people who have contributed with at least $60. We urge you to join the club of those who want to make a change in our community and in Congo. PS: Please check the minute of the last General Assembly. I wish you well in your family! God bless you Kidibu Yabi Miki Expedit President
